Meet the Brunette Foodie

Welcome to The Brunette Foodie!

• I’m Stephanie!
• I married Nathan in July 2008.
• On June 29, 2010 we had a dashing baby boy named Samuel William.
• We have 2 pets: a pug named Stitch & a kitten named Lilo {yes…for real.  Stitch came first, and then I just HAD to name the kitten Lilo.}
• Nathan and I met in a college English class.  We’re both English majors {me – literature, him – writing}.  I also have a Masters in Finance.
• I’m a stay-at-home mom.  If you had asked me even a week before Samuel was born if I saw myself staying home I would have said no {and I’d been vocal about it…so eating my words there }.  However, now I can’t imagine it any other way.
• I’ve been an avid competitive runner since I was 14.  I ran cross country in high school & college.  Now I just race for fun.
• Cooking & baking have become passions for me.  I didn’t really start loving the kitchen until I was on my own after college, and I realized I couldn’t live on Chick-fil-A and pasta alone.  By the time we got married I was obsessed.
• I am probably one of the most organized people I know.  I would die without my planner, Excel spreadsheets, and folders.
• I am a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, teach 2nd grade Sunday School at my Church, and an alumnae of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
