Making homemade pizza is one of our favorite things to do together when it comes to cooking. It is so fun to pick the ingredients and come up with fun new pizzas. We have been making our own dough for about a year now, and that is always a blast too. It is so much cheaper than buying crust at the grocery, and it tastes way better than anything I’ve bought in the store.
Homemade Pizza Dough {from AllRecipes.com}
Ingredients:
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1 package {.25 oz} active dry yeast
- 2 tbs vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1 cup warm water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm water. Spread out on a large pizza pan.

- Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.

We topped our dough with pasta sauce, 1 tomato chopped, 1 orange bell pepper chopped, minced garlic, 1/2 chopped onion, 1 tbs tarragon, 1 tsp sage, 1/2 cup bacon bits, 1 cup cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup feta cheese, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.
It was DELICIOUS!
Grade: A
Comments: The dough is fabulous. It is the right amount of doughy without being too much. Of course, we loved our toppings selection too. I love a veggie heavy pizza, and I love combining lots of cheeses to make the perfect flavor.
