Um, I am almost 23 weeks pregnant! I do not like how fast this is going. We have so much going on the next few weeks that I know it will fly by: moving to our new place, my MBA graduation, flying back to PA for a weekend, and Samuel’s arrival!
Here are some of the major items left on our pregnancy to do list:
- Sign up for our childbirth and parenting classes at Northside Hospital.
- Finish the letters for Samuel’s nursery. Here they are after one coat of paint:

- Pick up The Baby Book by Dr. Sears.
- Start interviewing pediatricians {maybe we’ll do this. I may just ask my OB for a recommendation and go with it.}
- Finish registering!
- Make the mobile for Samuel’s nursery.
- Interview nannies and/or decide if someone is going to stay-at-home.
- Cook & freeze meals for when we first get home with Samuel.
- Install the car seat and take it to the fire station to make sure it is safely in there.
- Pick out our birth announcements, and order the envelopes so I can address them before Samuel gets here.
- Pack hospital bag.
- Wash Samuel’s clothes.
- Buy any items we need at the last minute.
- Consider getting a second car. We only have a Ford Fusion that is “technically” mine, but we haven’t had a need for two cars. I really want a Lincoln Aviator or Ford Edge. Maybe I’ll finally get one!
Those are only the major things! I have a slew of craft projects I want to do myself, but with school and work I don’t know if I can get them done. We’ll see what happens.
Am I missing anything?

What a wonderful time for you! My son and daughter are young adults now, but I can still remember how you are feeling right now. Enjoy every minute. You won’t believe it now, but it goes by in a blink.
Many blessings for your new family.
Just saw this on FoodBlogs and thought I’d pop over. What a coincidence. I’m a food blogger and I’m 24 weeks preggo with our second! Yay! Congratulations and sounds like you have everything pretty organized.
I remember those last couple of months being so hectic!
Stephanie-
Please mark off your list the baby book by Dr Sears….I know you have the same last name and all but, but I believe you will not agree with this type of parenting. When I had Colin I started reading it-I believe each baby is unique and special and just couldn’t get into Sears ways. But if you truly want to read it let me know I will send you my copy!
