It is time for another confession: I have never made a smoothie at home, and I didn’t actually make it this time either. Nathan did.
We’ve been trying to change things up at breakfast, and a smoothie seemed like the right way to go when we found out mangoes and pineapples were on sale at the grocery. So, I looked through a lot of smoothie recipes, and I decided to just come up with my own. Thankfully, it turned out well.
Pineapple & Mango Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 mango
- 1 pineapple
- 1 14 oz can of condensed milk
- 1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup ice
Directions:
- Cut the mango and pineapple into approximately 1 inch pieces.

- In the blender, mix the condensed milk, vanilla yogurt, ice, 1 cup of mango, and 1 cup of pineapple. Blend.

- Pour into cups!

Grade: B+
Comments: It probably needed more fruit: strawberries, bananas, and oranges would have been great. Otherwise, it was really good and incredibly filling. A great start to the day!

This looks delicious! I’ve been all about smoothies lately. Yesterday, I had a berry delicious one
. Sorry…I just had to.
Wow…..all my favourite ingredients are there…pineapples, mango and condensed milk. This must be super delicious. I love it. I’ll have to try that.
Throw in protein powder and it’s a meal=) yogurt makes all the difference too, so much creamier! Eric and I had soymilk, plain yogurt, vanilla protein powder & frozen mixed berried this morning, SO yummy! Once you start making smoothies at home, you’ll be addicted! The boys’ favorite here I call the “Reese Puff”… Chocolate protein powder, soymilk, peanut butter and a little Superfood powder, kids’ think it’s a shake, OH NO, it’s healthy!!
Sounds delish!
Question for you – if I may ask, how much do you spend per week (on average) for groceries?
We spend about $45-$60 a week on groceries for the two of us. We split our grocery shopping between ALDI and Kroger usually with occasional trips to the farmers market.
