Quaker Old Fashioned Oats are my staple breakfast food.  I find immense comfort in a large bowl of oatmeal first thing in the morning.  It is incredibly filling and healthy.

I had planned on making my usual cinnamon & brown sugar oatmeal, but we have some apples.  I decided to go ahead and try something new.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2 tsp cinnamon sugar mixture
  • 1/3 apple
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Boil water on stove.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the apple into very small pieces.
  3. In a bowl mix oatmeal, cinnamon sugar, and apple.  Once water is completely boiled, add it to the mixture.

Grade: A

Comments: It is way better than the store bought apple cinnamon oatmeal in the packets.  Oatmeal is such a versatile food that it is easy to find a million ways to eat it.  This was a good decision.  It was even more filling than usual, and it was delicious!

I posted about this exact same thing on my blog last Friday! It’s my absolute favorite breakfast besides waffles. Yumm!
