Chicago local review: Mista Pizza

As I said the other day, I was in the Chicago area last weekend, and I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with my Little, Susan, in the city on Sunday.

Susan lives in a super cute area with lots of tasty local restaurants.  Before we plopped down on the couch for the Mad Men season finale, we ran to Mista Pizza.

Now, I am not a fan of Chicago-style pizza, but Susan assured me this was anything but.  She was right.

Mista Pizza uses fresh, organic, and natural ingredients to make its delicious foods.  The restaurant was very clean and as cute as a button.

Between Susan and I, we ordered:

  • small cheese pizza with whole wheat crust
  • house salad
  • Mista salad
  • Diet Coke

First, the service was very quick and courteous.  The man at the counter was so nice, and he took care of us.  We were the only ones dining in that evening, and he was very friendly.  Second, the food arrived in a timely fashion.  The salads were MUCH larger than we anticipated, and they were quite a bargain at the price we paid for them.  Most importantly, our pizza was delicious!  It was a “small,” but we had so much leftover that we ate it for breakfast the next morning as well.

Mista has a great menu.  Everything from specialty pizzas like the Heart Smart pizza to delectable wraps with names like Italian Tuna.  The prices are exceptional for how big the portions are and how high quality the ingredients are.

If you are in Chicago stop in for a bite!  There are 2 locations:

2931 North Broadway, Chicago, IL 60657

5351 North Clark, Chicago, IL 60640
